3 years ago — Currently the notification icon for 'checking mail' is the same as 'unread mail. This can create a confusion when the connection is slow or there are many accounts. In such cases, the checking mail icon stays for a long time which makes the user pull down the notification shade multiple times assuming that there's unread mail. Please use different notification icons for 'checking mail' or 'unread mail'.
